Happy New Year (2009-01-09)

Happy New Year to all. I guess some would say that the New Year is a time for organizing. The good news is that I did some of that and it sure did turn out cute! At a recent Sturbridge Vintage Textile Show I had purchased the cutest old cowboy shoe holder. I have been meaning to hang it in my studio and just never got around to it. Well as I was making the cute little pouches before the holidays, I realized that it would be much easier if my extensive vintage zipper collection was grouped by zipper length. Hence the following picture...Of course only a small percentage of my zippers fit but it is a start. So 2009 is off to a good ride as us cowgirls at heart would say.

Holiday Sewing (2008-12-22)

I can't believe it. Christmas is almost here. Lucky for me, I finished my holiday sewing just in time. Lots of my nieces are getting these great everything bags made from all vintage goods. Even the zippers! Look at the colors. Too fun. Hopefully you have finished your holiday sewing too. Either way, have a wonderful holiday season. I'll be back after the new year.
